State Vector is a transhumanist hard science fiction role-playing game. It is heavily inspired by the novel series Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds, as well as The Expanse by S.A. Corey and the GURPS setting Transhuman Space by David Pulver.
What we mean by "Hard Science Fiction" in this context is that the setting follows real-world physical laws for the most part. There are obviously (more than) a few speculations in the setting (the adoption of heavy genetic engineering, sentient artificial intelligence, fusion energy working in the century, to name just a few). But overall, it respects the laws of physics and doesn't contain easily accessible super-technology outside our known physics. That means: No FTL, no energy shields, no lasers that do "pew pew".
But What About The Sci-Fi?
What it does have is: Incredibly fast spacecraft, massive space habitats, settlements on distant exoplanets, interstellar wars, robot uprisings, de-facto time-travel, evolving societies, and the capability to support plenty of other types of science fiction, including Cyberpunk, Post-Apocalyptic and more.
